So I have 4gb 1333 MHz DDR3 RAM on my iMac and I want to upgrade to 8gb. However every video I watch on upgrading iMac RAM involves the taking out of the existing RAM. I for one do not want to spend an extra 20-30 dollars to get 2x 4gb modules and am wondering if I can just install 2x 2gb modules along with the existing RAM I have to give it a total of 8gb.
